The amount of damaged packages we're seeing is getting ridiculous (5 อ่าน)

I'm honestly at my wit's end with the state our packages are arriving in lately. I run a small online store based in Ajman selling fragile home goods and I feel like every week I'm dealing with at least a handful of customers sending me photos of cracked or broken items that looked perfectly fine when they left my hands. I've tried adding more bubble wrap, switching to double-walled boxes, even training my staff to be more careful with how they pack, but nothing seems to make a consistent difference and I'm starting to suspect the problem might be how everything is being handled once it leaves my warehouse. I've been trying to understand how businesses optimize packaging for transport so that products actually survive the journey, and I came across this concept that packaging design itself can make a huge difference in how well things survive bumps and drops during the last-mile part of delivery. It's not just about adding more padding but about creating packaging that fits the product properly and stacks well with other packages so things aren't shifting around during transit. I feel like I've been treating the symptoms instead of the root problem and I'm wondering if anyone here has overhauled their packaging approach specifically with transport in mind and actually seen damage rates go down. Would love to hear what changes actually moved the needle for you and what ended up being a waste of time and money.
