Real vs Fake Oud Oil: How to Spot the Difference Easily (5 อ่าน)
22 เม.ย 2569 00:23
I was testing different oud samples for my fragrance ideas when an unexpected late-night quality check made me realize how confusing real vs fake oud oil can be in today’s market. Real oud oil comes from agarwood resin and has a deep, rich scent that evolves over time—starting woody and smoky, then becoming warm, slightly sweet, and complex on the skin. Fake oud oil is usually synthetic or diluted, which makes it smell flat and fade quickly without any depth. Another key difference is texture—real oud feels slightly thick and rich, while fake oils are often watery or overly greasy. Price is also a big clue since authentic oud is rare and expensive, so very cheap “pure oud” is usually not genuine. The biggest test is how it behaves on skin: real oud changes in layers, while fake oil smells the same from start to finish.
