Kalanchoe flowers are basically a gift that keeps on giving, because they can put on a pretty show for weeks - even months if you treat them in a good way. They grow in little clusters in just about every colour of the rainbow - red, pink orange, yellow & white - which is why they're such a hit as a houseplant.

To get your kalanchoe flowers to last a bit longer, try brightening up the spot they're in with a bit of indirect sunlight. Too much direct sun can burn those delicate blooms, and not enough light just means they won't flower as much. And just to cover the basics, only water the plant when the top of the soil is nice & dry. Overwatering is a surefire way to get those flowers dropping off.

Also, if you remove the flowers that are past their best & feed the plant a bit of fertilizer at the right time of year you might just find you get more blooms popping up. With just a bit of TLC, your kalanchoe flower will be brightening up the room all summer long.
