I recently received a FAB prepaid card in the UAE and I’m still figuring out the basic features. One thing I’m not completely sure about is the different methods available to check the current balance on the card.



Right now, I don’t have access to a branch nearby, so I’m mainly looking for simple ways to see my remaining funds remotely or through self-service options. I heard there might be multiple ways like mobile banking, ATM inquiry, SMS alerts, or possibly an online portal — but I’m not sure which ones actually work specifically for prepaid cards.



A few questions I’m hoping someone with experience can clarify:



- Can prepaid card users check balance directly inside the FAB mobile app or is registration required first?

- Is there any fee for checking balance at ATMs (FAB or non-FAB)?

- Are there instant methods to check balance before making an online purchase?

- Do balance updates reflect immediately after transactions?
